Ashley Benson hit the press trail for her film ‘Spring Breakers’ during the 2012 Toronto Film Festival yesterday.
For the photocall, the actress chose a nude-and-black dress by Jade Godfrey. This was followed by a Dolce & Gabbana gown for the premiere.
Seeing these two photographs together, I’m reminded of the scene in Cinderella where the Fairy Godmother waves her wand and turns Cinder’s dour day dress into a concoction fit for a prince.
After all, the tones are similar and all that’s been done to the hair is a new side parting.
That’s not to say I dislike the Jay Godfrey dress, I’m just not that excited by it. The Dolce & Gabbana gown, however, works much better.
What do you think?

I really like the gown. I like the minimalism of the lines and of her styling. It makes the super-shiny gold look brilliant without looking vulgar.
It is fun to look at the mousy (but nice enough) photo-call pic next to the gown. It sure DOES look like a fairy godmother sprinkled her with pixie dust!
Not blown away by anything she’s worn thus far. I think the Dolce & Gabbana gown is just OK.
+1
+2
both looks are INCREDIBLY lackluster and boring for such a pretty girl and compared to the other ‘Spring Breakers’
I love her premiere look. I think it’s her best look at this promo tour so far.
The Jay Godfrey look would have been great too, if she had worn an interesting pair of shoes and had her hair brushed.
this outfit was worn recently by bollywood actress deepika padukone!
Yep. Deepika wore this gown at the Vogue Beauty Awards in India, and she worked it like nobody’s business.
+1. She had wowed me !
She is definitely falling behind her costars. The first look is blah, not flattering or exciting. I love the sparkle of the second look, but the bodice looks like an undergarment (some sort of shaper) and the skirt is uncomfortably tight looking. Hair and makeup are good for the second, though.
The first look is just meh and almost unflattering. The second look is a beautifull dress but loks weird in the stomach area. I want to like it, but fails to exite me. Hair and makeup are pretty.
She looks mumsy in Jay Godfrey, and her D&G is too mature for her.
I honestly strongly dislike both.
Not liking both looks.
Have a look at Bollywood beauty (and badminton ace) Deepika Padukone in the same dress. I think she more than does justice to it.
I like the second dress. I think she has a very casual approach to the red carpet though.
