Scarlett Johansson In Dolce & Gabbana – 2012 Met Gala

Scarlett Johansson glided down the red carpet at the 2012 Met Gala held in New York City on Monday evening.

The actress from ‘The Avengers’ wore a Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Her nude off-shouldered gown decorated with crystal establishments and gold embroidery had a beautiful tulle skirt.

A wavy hairstyle, diamond jewels and a coral lip colour completed her look.

Despite all the embellished details, I still feel like something is missing.

mmh maybe she’s missing her hairstylist…

+1 lol. Nothing about this feels original or modern to me.

      +2! Gorgeous dress. Terrible hair.

        You said it

I really like this look, she has a wonderful dress with simple makeup and hair. Its like the old scarlett looks we are used to

Ditto. She’s slowly getting back on form. Love this dress on her.

    • bm May 8, 2012 at 14:53 #

Imo, there’s nothing missing from her.

I agree, I like this look also. She look beautiful

I just feel like Scarlett’s lost her way style wise, this is still not quite right and I don’t know if she has had a breast reduction or if she has lost weight but that voluptuousness doesn’t seem to be there anymore. I also wish she would stop pairing her outfits lately with lank, undone hair.

What’s with the messy hair? And that gown needed a clutch and a more glamorous make up.

I think a pair of dangling earrings would have made it better.A pinkish red lip color might have also made a difference.

This could have been spectacular on someone taller. Does she have a hairstylist?

  7. Andreea May 8, 2012 at 12:50 #

I have only one word for her : No !

  8. Dianablues May 8, 2012 at 13:00 #

Great dress…on someone else and there are no words for the “we ran out of time, so ditched making an effort with the hair” hair

  9. vivian May 8, 2012 at 13:01 #

i think the hair?? seems dono-whats-going-on

  10. Shaina May 8, 2012 at 13:12 #

The dress is beautiful. I think it’s either her hair or her confidence. She still doesn’t have her ScarJo sex appeal on the red carpet.

  11. d May 8, 2012 at 13:25 #

wonderful dress but not with this hair style :(

  12. Alina May 8, 2012 at 13:28 #

    Boring.

  13. vicky May 8, 2012 at 13:58 #

Blah and meh comes to mind.
Hairstylist seems to have taken the night off.

I would have preferred this dress without all the tulle, lengthen the crystal and embroidery an inch or two and a pair of killer heels. Then it could have been something.

  14. Christine May 8, 2012 at 15:10 #

I actually like this look along with messy hairstyle. For some reason, it brings out the sexy in this dress. I like it!

  15. Riley May 8, 2012 at 15:40 #

ScarJo has thrown her mojo back into the sea for her stylist to fish back out again in future looks.

I understand why she liked this gown, but her hair is wispy and the gown isn’t doing anything for her.

  16. britta May 8, 2012 at 17:04 #

    the dress is stunning!
unfortunately though scarlett has lost all her je ne sais quoi

  17. Yeliz May 8, 2012 at 18:04 #

    It’s nothing new for me.

  18. Hisadora May 8, 2012 at 19:05 #

I’m just glad she’s been back to blonde! Looks beautiful..

  19. marina May 8, 2012 at 21:11 #

What is missing? A clutch maybe?

  20. Emma May 8, 2012 at 22:26 #

Someone needs to breathe some life back into this woman… she is missing her spark

  21. EmmaWoodhouse May 8, 2012 at 23:49 #

She’s on her way back up imo! If she the tulle started at her natural waist, IF she had worn an updo, and if the dress had been hiked up a bit it might have been my favorite of the night! As it is, it’s not bad, but it’s far from the best for me.

  22. Teleholic May 9, 2012 at 01:30 #

This one deserved an updo and long, emerald green (or really any color) earrings. It reminds me of one of her past, also D&G, looks to the 2008 gala:

You’re right, it looks a bit like that dress!

  23. Felicia May 9, 2012 at 10:03 #

I loved the dress until I zoomed in. That random detailing just ruins it if you ask me.

  24. Parvati May 9, 2012 at 12:17 #

This is a really nice look! I think what’s missing is a clutch, plus her hair looks a bit limp, but otherwise, she looks pretty!
