Mena Suvari was at the Villa Magna Hotel in Spain this afternoon for the Madrid photocall for her latest movie, ‘American Pie: Reunion’.
The actress is having quite an impressive promo tour; this time she wore a Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 dress.
Her red-and-black off-the-shoulder lace-embroidered dress with a tiered hem was shortened from the runway version.
I’m glad she shortened the dress as the fabric looks heavy enough on her tiny frame.
Mena simply styled with her dress with black platform heels with a pom-pom detail.
What I love most about this look is her voluminous bouffant and her smouldering red-carpet presence.
Thank God she was selected to lead this promo tour. Can you imagine how painful it would’ve been with just Tara Reid?

Whilst I agree she had to shorten the dress for her frame I think she ruined the proportion and turned it into just another skater dress . Shame

Adorable, much prefer the shortened version on Mena, great fit, the shoe choice is complementary and doesn’t compete with the dress, lovely hair, playful and flirty, she is carrying this look well, I like it.

Love the hair
I really like the dress, but I am having a little trouble with her hair–the length almost hides the detail on the neckline of her dress which is one of the things I like most about it, and she is kind of lost in the bangs.
I think this is awful. It looks like an Arnold Scassi from the 80′s. Painful.

I think she looks good. The dress while nice is quite heavy on details (red,black,lace…), it could have been a mess but she works it. The shoes are appropriate, the dress does the outfit , it doesn’t need showstopper shoes.
Mena looks great here. Her look completes the Spainard motif with the promo tour being in Spain. I like it.
