Reese Witherspoon Wore Prada To The Prime Video Celebration of ‘Legally Blonde’ & ‘Elle World’

On Saturday, Prime Video celebrated the 25th anniversary of Legally Blonde and the upcoming series Elle with the immersive ‘Elle World’ event held at Hall des Lumières in New York City, with Reese Witherspoon in attendance.

The actress wore a pink Prada Fall 2026 satin dress to the event, and while this isn’t usually where we find the actress on the red carpet, this could not have been a more fitting occasion.

Her style has long favoured classic feminine tailoring, making this zip-front, off-the-shoulder design feel like a departure. But that is precisely why it works.

Rather than dressing as Reese Witherspoon the actress, she embraced the spirit of Elle Woods. The saturated pink satin, exposed zip and slight Y2K attitude feel entirely in keeping with the character who made pink one of cinema’s most recognisable fashion signatures.

What makes the look especially successful is that it genuinely feels as though it belongs to the era of Legally Blonde. Despite coming from Prada’s Fall 2026 collection, the dress could easily have walked the runway of the early 2000s. The silhouette, colour and styling all carry a sense of nostalgia that immediately connects back to the film.

In another setting, this dress might have felt unexpected for Reese. At Elle World, however, the nostalgia surrounding the event makes it feel completely right.

The metallic pumps kept the styling contemporary, but the success of this look ultimately lies in how directly it acknowledges the occasion. Reese did not simply attend an anniversary celebration for Legally Blonde; she dressed for it.

This is not the Reese Witherspoon we usually see on the red carpet, and that is exactly what makes the look so enjoyable.
