Elizabeth Olsen attended the Atlantic Theatre Company’s Spring Gala at Chelsea Piers in New York City earlier this week, for the presentation of ‘Bring It On Home’.
The actress wore a navy dress by The Row which she teamed with an embellished Chanel boucle blazer.
Navy Chanel Spring 2012 heels completed the look.
There is not a single thing I like about this look.
First the whole ensemble ages her about 30 years. The colours are just so dull, the jacket is too big and I’m wondering what has happened to the mojo she had when she first came on the scene.

The jacket looks too large for her, if it were shorter and more fitted, it would look much nicer. Other than that, I’m fine with this outfit. I love the shoes.
I think I would have liked this if the dress had been a bit shorter, maybe hit a couple of inches or so above her knees. It would have felt a lot younger.
What a depressing look, nothing especially fashionable or sexy or interesting.
Mrs. Chancellor on The Young and the Restless dresses sexier than this and she’s like 100 years old.
I like the jacket. Not a lot of stars wear jackets and the color blue really suits her.
the shoes are a particularly weird choice. It seems she may be going for statement pieces with understatement everywhere else, but understated doesn’t have to be boring and this is.
Well, she does it again, dressing too old for her age. A more playful hairstyle would’ve helped but the jacket is a real killer here.
+1 this is a very disappointing and matronly look. The shoes are unpleasant.
She looks like a Greenwich matron. The jacket is at least a size and a half too big. Awful.
she need to fire her stylist!!!
some of her looks are horrible!
Her sisters have gotten to her. Can’t have baby sis looking more stylish, lol. Honestly, though, I don’t understand the Olsen penchant for oversized clothes….
agree. dull. conservative.
Why can’t her sisters help her or dress her? This is terrible again…
Chanel is not her friend. Aside from her her Balmain look I’ve not enjoyed most of her recent outings at all.
“First the whole ensemble ages her about 30 years”. You’re so right, FC. When I first saw the photo, I thought I was looking at Faye Dunaway (the old one, not the “Bonnie & Clyde” version).
I’m in my sixties and I would wear that!
She’s so young, why does she dress like a 50 years old woman?
Bad …
Oh, lmaoo. I kind of like it. It’s not my favorite look ever, but that jacket is very much something I would die over having in my closet. And I do like the shoes too. I guess I maybe like all the of the individual pieces, but together they create a matronly effect.
