Jennifer Lopez In Zuhair Murad Couture – 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Jennifer Lopez attended the 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood last night wearing her second Zuhair Murad look of the night.

Undeterred by her rumoured nipple slip while presenting earlier in the night, the ‘American Idol’ judge stepped into another plunging neckline.

The Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 Couture gown sparkles in a deep plum shade, slightly lightening in an ombre effect as it trails into a cranberry-hued skirt.

J.Lo accessorizes with H. Stern jewels and a Swarovski bag and kept her hair in a high-bun.

This is more like it. This is the diva I know and love.

On this occasion the omission of the belt doesn’t bring down the look as much as it did on Gwen Stefani.

    1) I am sick of plunging necklines
    2) it was better with the belt

      I agree..

    • Luis February 27, 2012 at 22:09 #

      Agree

      +1

The model looks classy and well J.Lo looks… not classy.

Does anyone else find it bizarre that she has been to the Oscars 5+ times and has never once been nominated, in a nominated film, or with a date that was nominated???! WTF.

Because she’s a bad actress and she usually acts in ugly movies, except maybe for one or two. I don’t even consider her an actress, now. I prefer the dress with the belt, it’s more elegant. And I hate that hairstyle!

I agre totally, and her face & body are way too different shades. The strangest thing isn’t that she couldn’t have used fake tan or makeup, but that her face is darker, and it is almost always hte other way around.

This is so much better than her previous look. Love it!

  3. AW February 27, 2012 at 21:59 #

Amazing, she looks like a star

  4. Laura February 27, 2012 at 21:59 #

Now THIS is what she should have worn for the ceremony!
Though I do prefer it with the belt.

  5. Henrique February 27, 2012 at 22:01 #

I much prefer this look but I miss the belt

  6. Aline February 27, 2012 at 22:02 #

YES! THIS is a J.Lo look! I wish she’d worn it to the actual show.

I still hate the hair, though.

I’m surprised you haven’t covered your favorite girl…Diane Kruger yet ;)

    • Fashion Critic February 27, 2012 at 22:05 #

there were plenty of girls to cover. We are going through them one by one.

I won’t consider Diane my favourite girl, Cate is :)

      • Fari February 27, 2012 at 22:06 #

Keep up the good work! I’m sure it has been a long day and night for you…

      • EmmaWoodhouse February 27, 2012 at 22:07 #

        Queen Cate forever! :D

Still disliking the hair, but the dress it what she should have worn at the Oscars

  9. gabis February 27, 2012 at 22:06 #

This is definitely more like it. Really gorgeous dress. Too bad the ugly hair is still there. Also, doesn’t her face look a lot darker than her chest? Hope it’s just the bad lighting of the picture.

  10. Matt R February 27, 2012 at 22:18 #

Me gusta. This is the dress of a true Diva. J-Lo should have definitely worn this on the Oscars Red Carpet.

  11. Sofia February 27, 2012 at 22:49 #

OMG as gorgeous as can be! The woman is absolutely STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Linda February 27, 2012 at 23:47 #

More gorgeousness from Jennifer. I loved both her looks tonight and appreciate the drama she brought to the evening.

  13. gurlygurl February 27, 2012 at 23:52 #

And she didn’t wear this to the actual Oscars because??? This is a stunning gown!! I adore it with the ribbon detail but I think it works better on J-Lo without it because it she’s not as tall as the model. I adore the color and long sleeves. Just lovely.

  14. justme February 28, 2012 at 00:08 #

She should have worn this at the ceremony with the belt.

  15. glenn February 28, 2012 at 05:32 #

this dress is not for her body, is for someone skinny

  16. goldfish February 28, 2012 at 12:41 #

better than the other dress, but it is boring and kind of done too many times..nothing innovative and fresh

  17. Alina February 28, 2012 at 16:48 #

Better than the look from the main event, but it isn’t so great.

  18. RebelR February 28, 2012 at 21:50 #

Love this dress! Wish she would’ve kept the belt

  19. ange February 29, 2012 at 09:38 #

LOVE IT!! THIS IS WHAT A MOVIE STAR LOOKS LIKE PEOPLE!!(even though i admit she isn’t much of an actress but boy does she milk these awards nights)

  20. Parvati March 1, 2012 at 00:14 #

Very nice gown but I wish she would have changed her hairdo.

  21. Louise February 25, 2013 at 12:46 #

I really like it, because it’s very J-Lo with the plunging neckline. Yet it’s different with the colour and the sequins. Much better than the grammy look, hated that black dress with that awkward leg.
