She wore a one-of-a-kind scarlet satin Versace robe with the label’s signature Medusa head emblazoned across the skirt.
Matching short sequin-embellished gloves completed her look, which is more ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ than an attempt at religious chic.
The most shocking thing about this look is Versace’s involvement as I’m totally numb to Nicki’s and Lady Gaga’s antics.

Totaly Ridiculous… I can’t say anything more.
I agree with you and I would add totally tasteless. I’m not Catholic, but it’s very tasteless to “use” the Pope to grab attention. But she wouldn’t grab anybody’s attention arriving dressed like a normal girl, there were so many other gorgeous, well dressed and more talented artists so that was the only way for her.

I can’t believe we focus energy on these stupid people. With all the important things going on in the world we should be using airtime to teach kids something better and we use it for these freaken morons dressing up like idiots getting their photo taken. meat dresses, space suits, pope outfits, what’s next? post it note dress? i mean really??
Watching the performance I totally get why she wore this with that said. What in hell? I enjoyed the theatrics of the performance but if only someone else did it. But she tried.

I was confused about this look and didnt get the plot to her performance either.
I used to like Nicki, but her absurd performance and appearance on the red carpet had totally let me down. What was she thinking? After all (bad, more than good) we’ve seen from Lady GaGa, does she really think the shock factor is still relevant? And Versace? Why did they design such a hideous outfit for her?
People are starting to really go crazy with these stupid clothes they wear to the Grammy Awards, like who the heck are u. Get real and don’t insult the Pope. Can’t stand this type of crap. Teaching our kids ridiculous behavior. She belongs at the circus with clowns.

Oh how shocking. A recording artist using an overt religious theme in her act to shock and offend and make a statement. It’s super original just like Lady Gaga and Madonna and the hundred million other people who’ve already done it. I’m so shocked offended- some give this girl an award. Incidentally, as a stand alone piece, it seems a bit shapeless and silly, but maybe that’s my impression because I get so annoyed by people like this thinking that dancing dressed up like a hoochy nun will make them stand out.
Also, sorry for ranting about a non-fashion subject, but in light of this I think Adele really shines. That woman shows up and sings and whoops everybody without all the bells and whistles.

Actually, I think Nicki is dressing like a cardinal, not a nun. I’m not going to get into politics or the moral credibility of the Vatican or the role of women in the Catholic church. But to be fair, even though I am over the antics of Gaga and Nicki etc, I can see more to this look than just shock value.

Nicki clearly needs prayer, to me it was all for the talk just so the people with good sense can notify the different people in this world but she look the worst and example was pointess besides she look more like a devil. One the other hand Lady Gaga look like she needs to be locked up in a cage in a dark place alone somewhere. She needs prayer as well being sucessful should not require all that unnecessary outter appearance. I hope one day they get it, I wish we had more simple artist like back in the day the ones who wore simple clothes and sang the truth.
