Cameron Silver In Mary Katrantzou – LAXART Ball OF Artists Event

Cameron Silver, owner of vintage emporium Decades Inc., attended the LAXART Ball OF Artists Event in Beverly Hills, California last night following a short visit to Paris for Couture Week.

He joins a growing list of men like Kanye West and the late Michael Jackson, who have taken womenswear pieces and rocked them as menswear.

On this occasion he wore a custom Mary Katrantzou Spring 2012 multi-coloured floral print suit.

I love the added twist on his look as his pants have a two-tone floral print which blends from his blazer.

Cameron added quirky touches such as his Alexis Mabille peacock feather butterfly bow tie and Christian Louboutin Havana Trash shoes to complete his look.

    Dapper and daring, very Cameron!

  16. EmmaWoodhouse January 29, 2012 at 23:18 #

Ugh, this is awful! I didn’t like the suit for women and it’s even worse on a man! Like clown-clothes. 🙁

  17. Maasako January 29, 2012 at 20:24 #

He is amazing! Always challenge and makes very Chic looks!

    • Salvo January 30, 2012 at 11:35 #

Every time I see Cameron, I just feel like he’s trying too hard .

    • Fashion Critic January 29, 2012 at 18:36 #

I admire him as I’m yet to see him in a safe black suit.

Why can’t mens fashion be fun and colourful?

      • Martin January 29, 2012 at 23:09 #

I agree. But I think that there is a way to do fun and colourful without looking ridiculous. Mark Ronson is probably the best exponent of how to do so. The neon pink Versace for H & M suit he wore at the launch of the collection a couple of months ago was a perfect example of how to push it in terms of colour without looking like a complete clown.

I cannot take this man serious in a getup like that, I am so sorry. Shelve that gaudy mess and bring it aka Ryan Gosling style – THAT, is how a man should dress.

  21. Sutton Stracke January 29, 2012 at 17:59 #

So whimsical and fun! Butterfly bowtie by Alexis Mabille sealed the look. Always chic and never dull!!

  22. NooG January 29, 2012 at 17:36 #

I’m kind of speechless because I don’t know if I like it or hate it.

  23. newt January 29, 2012 at 17:13 #

Oh girl Cameron rocked it for sure. That is one thing you can always count on!
Luv Kimberly Brooks dress, she looks great! she is my fave artist!
Cam and Kim kind of look like a high fashion, high culture, super sexy, crime duo!! The bonnie and clyde of Avenue Montaigne!

  24. Nat39 January 29, 2012 at 17:09 #

Not a fan. I could`ve accepted the suit but the Hanava Trash shoes take this look overboard, make it plain silly.

  25. TeaAtTwo January 29, 2012 at 17:02 #

I commend him for wearing such a bold look, even if it does look a bit wall paper.
Glad he didn’t kill the look with black shoes 😉

  26. María January 29, 2012 at 16:11 #

    I love it.

  27. chang anthony January 29, 2012 at 15:48 #

  28. Stephanie January 29, 2012 at 15:32 #

He rocked that colorful print and hats off to Cameron for being so creative. Maybe Mary K will see that men also enjoy her whimsy.

  29. Naomi January 29, 2012 at 14:22 #

Well, I’ve gotta say – He wears it better than the model.
A pretty cool look, the bow tie is a great addition, not so crazy about the shoes.
