Zuhair Murad Spring 2012 Couture

Ginger McKenna, Sharon Stone’s character in Martin Scorcese’s movie, Casino, was the inspiration behind Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2012 Couture collection.

The Zuhair Murad woman has a luxurious lifestyle which begins at 11pm.

She’s powerful, sexy, has a diva attitude and isn’t afraid of anything, which are the key things needed to pull off these high-octane looks.

The presentation started off with a gold corseted piece with other sexy looks which will please his celebrity fans such as Jennifer Lopez.

Nude gowns with gold or black beadwork, strapless gowns with mermaid silhouettes, fully embellished gowns with plunging necklines, a jumpsuit with a tulle peplum which lead into a flowing train, and many mini dresses were presented.

The colour palette was mostly gold and nude, with black, pink, white and glacier blue also in the mix.

It wasn’t all uber sexy. I fell in love with a gorgeous pretty, powdery pink strapless gown with chiffon overlay skirt with rose appliqués at the hemline.

The finale bride slowed things down as she was ethereal and elegant wearing an ivory silk tulle gown with crystal and gem embroidered details. Her train was the longest I have ever seen.
