Emma Stone attended the 2012 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live this evening.
I’m shocked to find myself saying that this Gucci Spring 2012 look is my least favourite from the actress since she burst onto the scene last year.
This is coming from someone who loves the Gucci Spring 2012 collection and who admires Emma’s style.
My first thought was that she looks like a waiter at closing time, who’s just taken off his bow-tie and untucked his shirt.
I prefer the styling on the runway as Emma’s shirt brings the look down and makes it appear sloppy.
Tilda Swinton would’ve rocked this look so hard I would be screaming for her to be crowned BDOTW.

I think this is darling and suits her perfectly, particularity the colour against her hair. She’s looked much worse and blander before!

completely agree and i think the fit of the jacket/pant highlight how effortlessly she pulls off this look. there’s a boldness in wearing pants on the red carpet and she pulls it off to the hilt.

I’ll always remember her first SNL hosting gig; she came out in pants and a loose-fitting long-sleeved top… as opposed to Anne Hathaway the next week who came out in a teeny tini minidress! Emma is always going for the respectable, refined starlet look!

I like the jacket color and …there was something off about the look but it wasn’t particularly wrong. However in motion, watching the show, her hair was TERRIBLE. So limp and damaged looking.
She also looked incredibly tired.
This is so sad to hear — I didn’t watch the live show but in pictures I did think her hair looked limp, like a two-day-old blow out… sad! And ya know what, she probably is tired! Sometimes I feel bad for these starlets trying to look and feel glamorous with their hectic schedules…
But for its general concept, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this outfit!

Her hair looked so greasy and awful on my tv screen, and she had very little or no makeup on; it was an outfit one could have loved but it was just so obviously thrown on that it had no chance of being good, further, her acceptance speech seemed overly long and pretentious – a bad night on every front for Emma

I like that she continues to try different things, but this just doesn’t quite work for me either- I agree the styling on the runway (with the gold accented obi belt) was better, and I think if she had her hair up, and really glam make-up on, it would have been more sucessful
Apart from the untucked blouse I really like this look. She looks cool against some of the overglam looks some starlets went for. The green really pops against her hair.

I actually love the untucked, undone blouse. She gave it a much younger, more casually elegant look than the one worn by the model. Perfect for the venue.
