Shailene Woodley joined the long list of celebrities at the 2011 National Board Of Review Awards Gala in New York City on Tuesday night.
Shailene donned a bordeaux L’Wren Scott Spring 2012 dress with beaded black floral embroidery. The dress was matched with black pumps.
The young actress has clearly been attempting to market herself as more mature throughout the press tour for ‘The Descendants’, wearing knee-length hems and longer sleeves.
This L’Wren Scott dress seems just a tad too mature for the petite actress. With such a conservative cut and muted colours, this ages Shailene a bit too much.
A severe updo does not help this maturing effect.

Who Was Your Best Dressed At The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala?

I think she should swap outfits with Michelle Williams actually.
Could she choose something more boring dress than this one? Seriously. I haven’t liked her red carpet choices yet.
The shoes are way too bland. the dress shortened would have looked better on her.
I always find myself looking at her and wanting to take a nap.
FC you’re right, when Shailene is doing events for her teenage-type TV show Secret Life of the American Teenager (like the teen choice awards) she looks MUCH different and much YOUNGER and wears mini dresses
The length is all wrong. And having her hands in the pockets makes her hips look HUGE! I do like the color & neckline.
i’m so shocked that she’s wearing L’Wren Scott, no matter which particular dress she chooses.
+1
I actually think it’s a great look. Love the color/pattern and am glad that she’s looking so sophisticated!
