2018 Baby2Baby Gala

Glamorous ladies were out in full force at the 2018 Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday (November 10) in California. They attended alongside Olivia MunnAmy Adams and Rachel Bilson.

Kelly Rowland: The singer shimmered in a custom Krikor Jabotian gown and Sarah Flint shoes. The jewels added even more sparkle to the megawatt look. It would have made for a brilliant performance ensemble.

Lauren Conrad: Forgoing the night’s popular black theme, she decided on a softer approach in Rhea Costa and carried a top-handle bag.

Zoe Saldana: Opting for simplicity, the actress showcased structured tailoring in plunging Saint Laurent. With a pared-down design it made the dragging hem all the more obvious.

Caruso’s Palisades Village Opening Gala

Caruso’s Palisades Village Opening Gala

There was a myriad of looks at Caruso’s Palisades Village Opening Gala on Thursday (September 20) in Pacific Palisades, California. Lovely ladies joined Camilla Belle and Charlize Theron.

Riley Keough: The ‘It Comes at Night’ actress showed some leg in Alexandre Vauthier. The contrasting fabrics give us something to talk about, but methinks they’re not used to their full effect. The metallic gold fabric looks rather like she has a shirt tied around her waist. Yet without it, it would have been merely a plunging LBD.

Kate Beckinsale: The actress often gravitates towards elegant black. This white Solace London gown had the same regal air of the darker colour palette. It shone for its curve-hugging simplicity.

7th Biennial UNICEF Ball

A trio of ladies turned out for the 7th Biennial UNICEF Ball was held on Saturday (April 14) in Beverly Hills, California.

Alyssa Milano: While I do think the actress introduced an element of glamour with her all-over sequined Landero gown and classic-red lip, I was missing a bit more definition through the waistline to further enhance the proportions of the dress.

Salma Hayek: The royal-purple hue of this Gucci gown was beguiling, with the belt enhancing the ruched waistline. However, the dress may have suffered in execution across the bust line with her bra situation—and I do wish her hair was worn off her shoulders to further celebrate the embellishment.

Molly Sims: Literally bringing the star power to the evening, the model-actress sparkled in a Rani Zakhem Fall 2017 Couture gown. While the star motif may have been a bit trite, my bigger issue with the look was that the sheer sleeves seemed a bit too droopy and I was left wishing for a sleeker finish.

‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The premiere of ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ on Sunday (May 21) brought a number of other stars to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Clotilde Courau: Clotilde brought a gilded touch to the proceedings with her embroidered Georges Hobeika gown. Just don’t look too closely at the nude illusion components that provided a slightly distracting tint to the majestic gold filigree look.

Barbara Meier: Electric blue will always be one of my favourite colours, especially with the fiery red locks of Barbara’s. So, I’m not sure why I wasn’t completely in awe of this Alexis Mabille Couture look. I blame the stiff, structured silhouette of the off-the-shoulder bodice that seemed a bit awkward.

Laetitia Casta: The slashed-to-there look comes back yet again in this Saint Laurent Fall 2017 gown, and in case you had any chance of missing the thigh-high slit, this one’s embellished in crystals. It’s nothing revolutionary for Cannes, but a sleek bun would have been in order to better highlight her gorgeous earrings.

UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital’s Kaleidoscope 5

The UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital’s Kaleidoscope 5 was held on Saturday (May 6) in Culver City, California, with a few notable looks on the red carpet.

Jaime King: We recently saw Jaime in a red Oscar de la Renta ensemble and she kept the glamour going strong in her next look from the designer. This floral-embellished frock had me thoroughly charmed, with styling that intensified its Spanish flair via red flamenco earrings and Jimmy Choo ‘Romy’ lace pumps.

Gwyneth Paltrow: I love the clean modernity of this two-piece Prada look that still dazzled with tonal sequins. Yet, I couldn’t get past how high the front slit seemed—it was one that was perhaps better worn at the side. Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ black sandals completed the look.

Molly Sims: Like Jaime, Molly went for a blooming garden of flowers and lace in this Tadashi Shoji Pre-Fall 2017 ruffled gown. The interplay of colours was exquisite on her, even if it seemed rather heavy for spring.

‘Power Rangers’ LA Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

There were a host of starlets who joined Elizabeth Banks and Naomi Scott on the red carpet for the ‘Power premiere in LA last night (March 22).

Christina Milian: The actress was almost unrecognisable in her new Freedom Couture ice-blonde wig. Her burnt orange Victoria Beckham ribbed knit midi dress and Gianvito Rossi heels did fare well, but 21HM body chain took this down a tacky route.

Chloe Lukasiak: The young dancer/actress wore a fun, fresh look which included a Milly Spring 2017 bow bustier and Alexis slit trousers.

Skai Jackson: Skai’s custom look from John Paul Ataker styled with a Kate Spade New York Disney Miss Piggy Collection ‘Who Moi’ clutch ensures she stays firmly on my one-to-watch list. This was my second favourite look from this event.
