2021 Venice Film Festival Day Two Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from day two of the 2021 Venice Film Festival featuring looks from ‘The Power of the Dog’ and ‘The Hand Of God’ premieres

Molly Sims attended both events.

Her first look hails from the Carolina Herrera Resort 2021 collection which we’ve seen on Taraji P. Henson.

I loved this for Molly, as it is very different to what we have seen from her in the past.  It feels a bit edgy, so I enjoyed seeing her step out of her comfort-zone with this.

She styled this look with a Tyler Ellis clutch.

When it came to this Pamella Roland Spring 2021 dress, styled with a Jimmy Choo ‘Clemmie’ clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Shiloh’ sandals, things were felt a lot more familiar.

Familiar is not a bad thing, as this watermelon hued embellished gown is a beautiful look for her.

I love how she wore her hair back with both looks considering how heavily detailed they both are.

Sophie Hunter aka Mrs Cumberbatch joined her husband Benedict Cumberbatch on the red carpet alongside his co-star Kirsten Dunst for ‘The Power Of The Dog’ premiere.

I love the bygone-era romanticism of this Emilia Wickstead Resort 2022 dress.

I feel like we have seen different versions of the same Emilia Wickstead dress over the last few months, so I’m refreshed to see a different silhouette, and print.

There have been a lot of black gowns during this festival, so this look really stood out.

Virginie Efira Saint Laurent Venice Film Festival

As you know Virginie Efira – one of the jury members for this festival – is my girl, but I miss her in Dior.

On this occasion she rocked a Saint Laurent mini dress styled with Saint Laurent accessories which was a nice change of pace.  I actually really like the look.  But we all know she’s a Dior girl deep down.

Eleonora Carisi Pinko Venice Film Festival

So between Cannes and Venice Film Festival, Eleonora Carisi has gone blonde.

The fashion IT girl walked the red carpet wearing a striking green custom Pinko dress which has all the drama we want from a film festival gown.

However, I’m slightly perplexed by the gap in her skirt.  Did she sweep it over to ensure her leg jaunted out?  Are we looking at built-in pants?

The look was effortlessly styled with emerald and diamond jewels from Pasquale Bruni and Aquazzura PVC mules.

Sofya Gershevich Venice Film Festival

Sofya Gershevich was giving us easy boho inspired elegance in this check print Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Resort 2022 dress.

Beatrice Vendramin Venice Film Festival

Beatrice Vendramin was one of my favourites from day two wearing a custom Philosophy di Lorenzo look, as it gaves us a break from the flurry of gowns.

I adore the crystal top and all the embellished accents which matched the belt.

This look was fun and frivolous.  You can tell that Beatrice was loving the look.

She styled her look with jewels from Pomellato’s Catene, Sabbia and Iconica collections.

Viola and Vera Arrivabene Venice Film Festival

Viola and Vera Arrivabene both wore looks from Philosophy di Lorenzo’s Resort 2022 collection.

Viola’s simple black dress allowed her Pomellato jewels and Roger Vivier pumps to do the talking, while Vera did the same as her hot-pink Roger Vivier clutch stole the show here.

I have to say that I’m blown away by the simplicity of Vera’s hushed pink gown. Which is strange for me being a “go-big, or go home big gown” kinda girl.

The sisters both styled their looks with Pomellato jewels.

Luisa Ranieri Venice Film Festival

Luisa Ranieri wore a sultry Atelier Versace dress which was beautifully draped and intertwined with black crystal mesh.

Aitana Sanchez

Aitana Sanchez attended a dinner party during the festival wearing an Etro gown.  I love the black sequin portion.  But I’m not so enamoured by the white draped chiffon bustier portion.

Is it the keyhole, the knot, the contrast or the fabric choice I’m not warming to?
