Diane Kruger Wore Del Core To The Angouleme French-Speaking Film Festival Opening Ceremony
The Angoulême French-Speaking Film Festival may not have the glitz or global spotlight of Cannes or Venice (which officially kicks off today), but it does give us the pleasure of seeing Diane Kruger in action — this year as Jury President. And honestly, I’ll take any excuse for a Diane red carpet moment.

That said, this one didn’t quite land for me. Her Del Core Spring 2025 charcoal grey mini dress definitely carried a playful ‘60s-inspired mod silhouette, but the colour was a bit drab for late August, and pairing it with cream Aeyde pumps in an attempt to brighten things up only made the whole look feel a little mismatched.
I will say that I do like that Diane is resisting the obvious jury-president route of tailored suits and understated elegance. She’s taking risks, and I respect that. The only problem? So many of those risks this year haven’t paid off, and this was another example of great intention, but questionable execution.
Diane still looks gorgeous (she always does), but I’m still waiting for a vintage Diane moment.
