Cate Blanchett In Maison Margiela Haute Couture – ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ Rome Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett In Maison Margiela Haute Couture - ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ Rome Film Festival Premiere

What do you do when the world is expecting something?

You give them something else.

Cate Blanchett has never been predictable, yet I was trying to pick out which look she was going to select from Armani Prive for ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ Rome Film Festival premiere this evening (October 19).

But on this occasion, she had other ideas.

When I saw Cate in this custom Maison Margiela Spring 2018 Haute Couture gown by John Galliano, I felt like the future of fashion had finally arrived.

The prismatic pleated fan takes this look into another realm, one with flying cars and robots dogs we were promised in ‘Back the Future’.

How does she do it? Mind-blown.

Cate Blanchett In Acne Studios – ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ Rome Film Festival Photocall

Cate Blanchett In Acne Studios - 'The House With A Clock In Its Walls' Rome Film Festival Photocall

Cate Blanchett is at Rome Film Festival promoting ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ this afternoon (October 19) Italy at the official photocall.

The thing I love about Cate is that I feel she is constantly evolving.

And this current phase is the most intriguing yet.

I have a strong belief that even had she opted to wear this Acne Studios suit from the Spring 2019 collection without the embellishments, she still would’ve knocked this look out of the fashion ballpark, because what she sells first and foremost is confidence, and grace.

No doubt, when it Rome she’ll wear Armani Prive for the premiere. I’m not sure she can outdo Venice, but I’m sure she’ll try.

Cate Blanchett In Alberta Ferretti – UNHCR’s Nansen Refugee Awards

Cate Blanchett In Alberta Ferretti - UNHCR's Nansen Refugee Awards

UNHCR goodwill ambassador Cate Blanchett, delivered a speech and presented an award during the UNHCR’s Nansen Refugee Awards in Geneva, Switzerland on Monday (October 1).

With suiting continuing to be her preferred option for her red carpet looks, the actress wore a suit from Alberta Ferretti’s Resort 2019 collection.

I love how the intricately beading puts an elevated twist on this suit, which is tailored with a loose-fit contemporary style.

What I love about this suiting trend, is how the likes of Cate Blanchett are keeping things interesting.

She’s gone from dual-colour, checked, sequined, bold in colour, retro in Gucci and timeless in Armani.

Long may the variety continue.

Front Row @ Louis Vuitton Spring 2019

Front Row @ Louis Vuitton Spring 2019

At the Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 show on Tuesday (October 2) during Paris Fashion Week, there were almost too many LV lovelies to count — and a few good men, too.

Cate Blanchett: The hero piece of Cate’s look was clearly the statement jacket that was a glitzy constellation of embellishment — and signature LV logo-lined cuffs — to jazz up the sophistication of the moody-dark ensemble.

Alicia Vikander: As per usual, the actress effortlessly customized an LV look to her chic standards; this one bringing in boho flair with its mix of patterns, autumnal hues, and the floral tapestry coat about her shoulders. Some would say the cross-body purse was a bit big, but she made it fit right in.

Thandie Newton: The allure of this lacy dress was balanced with the tailored jacket on top. And, can we just talk about Thandie’s gorgeous hair.

Cate Blanchett In Sara Battaglia – The Pomellato Balera Party Event

Cate Blanchett In Sara Battaglia - The Pomellato Balera Party Event
Cate Blanchett struck a bold attitude at the Pomellato Balera Party Event on Saturday (September 22) in Milan, Italy.

The party theme reflected traditional Italian balera dancing. And, for Cate, that meant a slight disco fever ravished the glam mood of her Sara Battaglia Resort 2019 metallic leopard-print jumpsuit.

I love how she brought her characteristic sophistication to even this walk on the wilder side.

The Pomellato jewels didn’t even get lost in translation.
