Jennifer Lopez Wore Bronx & Banco To The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival

Jennifer Lopez attended the 25th edition of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival Opening Night while promoting her upcoming rom-com Office Romance.

The actress wore a green Bronx & Banco gown accented with embellished gold links, styling the look with a feather-trimmed bomber jacket that added texture and volume to the ensemble.

What I appreciated about her recent LA premiere look was that it felt like something slightly different while still sitting comfortably within Jennifer Lopez’s established glamour register. This, however, landed in déjà vu territory, and not in a way that worked to its advantage.

Feathers? Jennifer does them often. Cut-out gowns? Frequently. Thigh-high slits? Also part of the formula. But familiarity is not the issue here. The problem is execution. Between the creased fabric, the finish of the material, and the overall construction, the dress lacked the level of refinement I would expect from someone of her stature. The olive-green shade is flattering, and the jewellery detailing attempts to elevate the look, but the fabric reads cheap on camera, leaving the overall impression feeling underwhelming.
