Kate Hudson Wore Tod’s To The ‘Marty, Life Is Short’ LA Premiere
Kate Hudson joined Selena Gomez on the red carpet for the LA premiere of Netflix’s Marty, Life Is Short on Wednesday.

The actress delivered a minimalist moment in a marigold Tod’s Pashmy suede sleeveless column gown from the Spring 2026 collection, and the simplicity of the silhouette is exactly what makes the look work. The long, lean shape, uninterrupted lines, and rich suede texture gave the dress an understated elegance that felt effortless on her.
The colour was also a strong choice. This warm marigold tone works beautifully against Kate’s colouring, while also feeling perfectly timed for this point in the season.

From the front, however, I did initially feel like the dress looked slightly too big on her, but the side profile confirms that the deep cut is creating a gaping effect and some exposure, which adds more looseness than the clean silhouette probably intended. I know some people will immediately focus on the side-boob reveal, but for me it highlighted the fit more than the skin itself.

Which is likely why the actress opted to add the Tod’s leather trench coat for pictures with Eugene Levy and Martin Short. The coat brings a richer styling element to the minimalism of the dress, while the tonal pairing keeps everything cohesive.
Black pointed pumps, which disappeared into the black carpet, and gold jewellery completed her look.
Stylists: Rob Zangardi & Mariel Haenn.
