Olandria Carthen attended the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards 2026 held in LA this week, where the former Love Island star showcased a different side to her style.

For those of you calling for less cleavage-baring gowns and something new, she delivered in this denim strapless dress from Area’s Spring 2026 collection.

What I love about this look is that it retains all of Olandria’s familiar red carpet codes – fitted silhouette, sculpted bodice, defined waist, and a trailing train – while reworking them through a more unexpected, street-leaning lens. The distressed denim fabrication brings a raw edge, while the leather belt worn as a choker adds a striking element that shifts the look firmly into directional fashion territory.

Usually, when someone takes a style detour, it can veer off track, see Anne Hathaway’s The Devil Wears Prada press tour – but here, there’s a strong balance between something bold and something that still feels authentic to her.

And I have to say, this pixie cut might be her strongest beauty moment to date, sharpening the overall impact of the look.
