Eva Mendes Wore Stella McCartney To The ‘Project Hail Mary’ New York Premiere
As you know, I was desperate for Eva Mendes to appear on the red carpet for her husband Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary press tour, and she did step out for the New York premiere, just as expected.
After more than an hour of searching and speaking with Starpix, who she credited in the image, they confirmed the images are not available to download. As licensing is essential to ensure photographers are compensated and to avoid any copyright issues, we have to rely on a screenshot from the video she shared on her Instagram Stories, along with an embedded image from her feed.
While I am still not over Priyanka Chopra’s Stella McCartney look from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, this magenta asymmetric layered dress feels like a much stronger outing from the British designer.
Fresh from the Fall 2026 runway, I initially thought Eva was wearing the runway boots, until the Louboutin red soles gave it away. In her video, you can also see that she styled the look with L’eggs 360° Contour Super Opaque tights.
I love the statement necklace she paired with this dress, along with the stacked bracelets, which works perfectly with the richness of the magenta. The neckline could have easily been left bare, but this choice adds another layer that makes the look feel more complete and her own.
The way the draped layers fall through the front gives the dress presence, and the colour alone does a lot of the heavy lifting here. It’s striking and plays well against her skin tone, which only heightens the overall impact.
This is the kind of energy I miss from Eva on the red carpet; fun, sexy, and confident. It’s great to see her back, and I appreciate that she never tries to take attention away from Ryan’s moment, even though she easily could.
