At the New York photocall for The Fear of 13 at the James Earl Jones Theater, Tessa Thompson once again proved how easily she gravitates towards clothes with an intellectual edge.

The look was anchored by a vibrant red sweater from the Commission Fall 2025 collection, draped over a striped top that highlights the label’s distinctive approach to tailoring.

The top, drawn from the Commission Fall 2026 collection, is a re-engineered shirt constructed from repurposed sleeves, with the layered stripes peeking beneath the knit also reframe that familiar language, which feels very much in line with Commission’s design approach.

I like how the clean, elongated line of the skirt grounds the look, balancing the experimental shirt construction while reinforcing the intellectual, office-inspired aesthetic the label has quietly built its reputation on.

Styled with minimal accessories and sleek hair, this was a study in proportion, layering, and quiet innovation that perfectly echoed Commission’s modern reinterpretation of classic wardrobe codes.
