Paul Anthony Kelly & Sarah Pidgeon Attend The Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ New York Screening
Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon attended a screening of FX’s Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City this week, and the mood was noticeably quieter than the premiere.

Low-Key, By Design
Paul Anthony Kelly stayed true to his preference for classic elegance in a chestnut-brown Caruso suit. There’s something almost uncanny about how different he looks every time he steps out, yet the through-line remains consistent. He went pared back for the premiere, which worked, but this slightly richer tone feels more relaxed and better suited to an intimate screening setting.

Missed the Mark
You weren’t sold on Sarah Pidgeon’s Chanel look at the premiere, and I suspect this Loewe draped dress by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez from the Pre-Fall 2026 collection may test your patience even further.
My issue is fourfold. The colour does nothing for her skin tone. The silhouette is perplexing, reading like pieces of fabric hot-glued together. The look fails to flatter her, and perhaps most frustratingly, it feels disconnected from the woman she is portraying. Carolyn Bessette’s style legacy remains widely referenced decades later, so this lack of clarity feels like a missed opportunity. Maybe the weight of that legacy felt too daunting, resulting in a look that opts for detachment rather than direction.
