Teyana Taylor Wore Ashi Studio Haute Couture To ‘The Rip’ New York Premiere

Fresh off her Golden Globe win on Sunday, Teyana Taylor wasted no time reminding us why her fashion momentum feels electric right now. She returned to the red carpet for Netflix’s The Rip New York premiere and delivered a look that will wake up if you are already feeling awards season fatigue.

This Ashi Studio Spring 2025 Haute Couture dress is not here to blend in. The black semi sheer draped jersey midi with a sculptural tulip silhouette pushes volume outward at the hips, creating a striking shape that reads Queen of Spades energy.

The mock neck pulled up over her face was the masterstroke. In the context of a crime thriller, the masked detail felt as if the clothes were playing along with the story.

I said no more abs and no more hoods in 2026 because I wanted evolution, range and surprise. This is exactly that. Teyana is stretching into new territory and doing it with conviction. There is no hesitation here, only confidence in the vision.

What makes this even stronger is the trust. Her partnership with Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald continues to thrive because she commits fully. She understands that fashion at this level rewards bravery, and she leans in every time.

Jewels from Spinelli Kilcollin and Repossi sealed the moment beautifully.

Stylist: Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.
