Emma Laird Wore Louis Vuitton To The ’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ London Premiere

Emma Laird attended the 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple world premiere held at BFI IMAX Waterloo in London on a rain soaked Tuesday evening, and this is a look that I know will divide opinion.

Emma sits firmly in the tier of Louis Vuitton ambassadors who are willing to lean into Nicolas Ghesquière’s more daring ideas, but the mood shifted here. This light blue V neck bustier dress felt softer, sweeter, and more playful than the architectural pieces she has presented to us so far.

I know some of you are already ready to give this a flat no, but I am completely swept up in the romance of it all. The balloon skirt is the real talking point, and I love how the ruffled layers cascade in unison, creating volume while staying visually balanced. It feels whimsical, and very unexpected, which is exactly why it works for me.

I am particularly enamoured by how this would have moved in real time. This is a dress that begs to be seen in motion, not frozen in a single frame.

Agrafe earrings and the Tumbler ring in white gold and diamonds from Louis Vuitton High Jewelry, along with Louis Vuitton leather sandals, finished the look beautifully.
