Zoe Saldana Wore Erdem To The ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ China Premiere

Zoe Saldana attended the China premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash today in Sanya, Hainan Province, stepping onto the red carpet in a look that feels notably different to the lane she usually occupies.

You all loved her two looks from her Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance, but I’m genuinely curious if that same enthusiasm will extend to this Erdem Spring 2026 dress — particularly as many of you weren’t entirely sold on a similar style from the same collection worn by Demi Moore. Granted, that look pushed Demi well outside her usual glamour comfort zone, but the same could be said here for Zoe.

Zoe is typically defined by modern tailoring, clean lines and a sleeker kind of ease rather than this level of romantic softness. Romantic lace dresses like this aren’t her usual calling card. And yet, I absolutely love this from head-to-toe.

The strapless lace bodice, the cinched corsetry, and the layered sheer skirt bring a softness that feels unexpected but welcome on her. The black appliqué detailing through the centre adds contrast and visual focus, giving the dress a graphic edge that keeps it from drifting into pure sweetness. There’s a careful balance here between delicacy and definition, and Zoe carries it beautifully.

What I also love is how the long, loose waves play directly into this softer mood. We’re so used to seeing her in sleek, pulled-back styles that this romantic hair choice works beautifully.
