Lewis Hamilton Wore Dior & Ferrari For The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The F1 Grand Prix paddocks have felt noticeably quieter since Lewis Hamilton opted to wear his Ferrari uniform for most of the season — by choice or by contract, who knows — so it was genuinely refreshing to see him take his final walk to the paddock at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit this weekend in something other than Ferrari red.

Sunday’s Race

Lewis has long had a close relationship with Dior, having previously collaborated on a capsule collection with Kim Jones. Under the new creative direction of Jonathan Anderson, it appears that partnership is still very much alive, as this marked Lewis’s first Dior look of the Anderson era.

I know some of you took one look at those ultra-wide trousers and thought, “Not even Lewis,” but baggy silhouettes have always been part of his style vocabulary — even if this pair pushed that preference to new extremes. I love the colour palette, the surface texture of the jacket, and the overall design concept, but in reality, both pieces kinda overwhelm his frame. The proportions swallow him whole, and he doesn’t read as tall or statuesque as he usually does.

Ray-Ban sunglasses, his signature pearl necklace, and a brown suede Dior bag from the Mens Spring 2026 collection completed the look.

Saturday’s Qualifying

When you compare that to Lewis’s first look of the weekend — a Ferrari Spring 2026 cargo-pocketed ensemble — you immediately sense the difference. While it was also oversized, the proportions were far more controlled. Instead of overpowering him, the shape worked with his frame, allowing the volume to feel intentional rather than excessive.

It’s a telling contrast between two approaches to oversize: one that dominates the wearer, and one that works in harmony with him.
