Anya Taylor-Joy Wore Tom Ford To The 2025 Marrakech Film Festival Closing Ceremony

I had expected to see far more of Anya Taylor-Joy during her time on the jury at the 2025 Marrakech International Film Festival, but it turned out to be very much a case of grand opening, grand closing. After delivering two Dior dresses for the opening ceremony, the actress made her final appearance count at Sunday’s closing ceremony.

For the occasion, Anya chose a Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann Spring 2026 satin lace-accented dress, layered over a leather fine-mesh triangle bra. On paper, this sounds like the kind of sensual look she often thrives in. In reality, it landed quite differently.

She sold it with her usual assurance — the posture, the poise, the unflinching confidence were all there. But from the waist up, I’m simply not convinced. There are too many ideas competing for space. Lace, satin, leather, mesh — each element is strong on its own, yet together the layering feels slightly chaotic.

As you know, I’m always here for a sexy dress. This one, however, feels like it’s trying very hard to be provocative and not fully succeeding. At least for me. The extended bra detailing is the biggest distraction.

This was a rare no from me when it comes to Anya on the red carpet — something that doesn’t happen often.

She completed the look with Tiffany & Co. Bird on a Rock by Tiffany Wings earrings and a bracelet, alongside Tom Ford sandals.
