Rosamund Pike Wore Dior To The ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’ New York Premiere
Rosamund Pike attended the Now You See Me: Now You Don’t world premiere held at The Lighthouse at Pier 61 in New York City this week.

Seeing Rosamund’s custom Dior gown on Leith Clark’s Instagram had me fully sold on the fantasy. The drop-waist silhouette, the soft drape of the reverse collar falling into a fringed scarf, the buttery satin — it photographed with that nostalgic elegance Leith does so well.

But on the carpet, the charm evaporated. The pleating past the drop waist looks a bit messy, and the floral embroidery feels like an afterthought rather than a considered design decision.
Jonathan Anderson has really been pushing pleats as part of his Dior vocabulary, but this outing highlights — once again — why they’re becoming such a hard sell on the red carpet. Rosamund has incredible presence, but the dress simply doesn’t rise to meet her.
And I’m not entirely sure why such a dark lip was considered for this dress.
Stylist: Leith Clark.
