Menswear Midweek Red Carpet Roundup
From the Nuremberg premiere at AFI Fest to Vogue World: Hollywood and the WWD Honors Gala, the men delivered just as many headline-worthy looks as the women

AFI Fest: Nuremberg LA Premiere
Rami Malek continued his streak of sartorial sharpness in Valentino Resort 2026. The check blazer paired with a sky-blue shirt and cream tie felt both retro and current. Wide-leg trousers — a rare choice for him — added a relaxed balance, and the entire look exuded that signature Rami cool — considered but never try-hard.

Vogue World: Hollywood
Founder Mike Amiri and actor Jesse Williams delivered a masterclass in tailoring with two distinct takes on looks from the AMIRI Fall 2025 collection. Mike leaned into his signature rock-and-roll aesthetic in burgundy corduroy and leather, while Jesse’s look felt less rebellious and more refined with the geometric tie ushering in a retro feel. Both punctuated their looks with vintage-inspired brooches.

Henry Golding delivered an elegant twist on black tie with dunhill Spring 2026 look. The patterned tuxedo jacket cinched with a tasseled belt nodded to old-world sophistication with a fresh spirit. This man never misses.

Greg Tarzan Davis embraced Golden-Age Hollywood refinement in a white Zegna jacket, black trousers, and gleaming Chopard accessories.

WWD 2025 Honors Gala
Justice Smith is usually one of the most exciting menswear risk-takers, but this Thom Browne look didn’t work for me. The oversized mesh basketball jersey over a checked suit pushed this into try-hard territory, missing the balance he usually achieves.

Colman Domingo, on the other hand, proved why he’s become a fixture on best-dressed lists. His custom Valentino velvet tuxedo — courtesy of Alessandro Michele — was timeless sophistication done right. Every line, every detail, felt effortlessly composed.

I love Jeremy Pope’s style, but I’m conflicted when it comes to this Willy Chavarria suit. The positives? The colour, of course, along with the floral accent on the shoulder. But I’m not entirely convinced that the designer’s signature oversized silhouette is working for him — or perhaps it’s the combination of the fabric and cut that’s letting him down.
