Emily Blunt Wore David Koma To ‘The Smashing Machine’ London Screening
Following her quick stop in Berlin for the premiere of The Smashing Machine, Emily Blunt returned to home soil for the BAFTA special screening in London.
You weren’t completely sold on the modern-meets-soft-femininity vibe of her David Koma look in Berlin, so what are your thoughts on this second round from the designer?
For me, Emily nailed it. She leaned fully into the richness of autumn with a burgundy long-sleeve mini dress that felt both sleek and playful. The silhouette was intriguing, the trailing sash added a touch of whimsy, and the pièce de résistance?
The open back. Yes, here I go again with my open-back obsession—but what can I say? Back day is my favourite day at the gym.
Calzedonia sheer polka-dot tights amped up the flirty appeal, while Jimmy Choo Rosie sandals deepened the tonal palette. Ananya Desert Diamonds completed the look.
Surprisingly, the tights ended up being the star here. They tied the whole look together. In London we are definitely in tights-at-night-with-a-short-skirt weather, and I love that she opted for the polka-dots instead of solid black, which would have felt too heavy.
The result? One of Emily’s most charming press tour moments yet—sophisticated, fun, and perfectly in tune with the season.
