Cristin Milioti Wore Danielle Frankel To The 2025 Emmy Awards

Cristin Milioti won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Penguin, and while the award was the big moment, the dress had its own storyline.

I think it’s time we free Cristin from the “always wears black” pigeonhole, because she’s clearly enjoying her detour into colour. For the Emmys, she stepped out in a custom red Danielle Frankel gown, and it felt like a breakthrough moment.

The tailored column base gave her that sharp, statuesque presence, while the sculptural bustier and exaggerated neckline made sure it wasn’t just another strapless dress. I loved how the silk draping twisted its way asymmetrically around her, spilling into a dramatic train at the back. I gasped when I saw this.

Yes, the hem could have been shortened a touch, but I’m not holding it against her. This was bold, commanding, and one of my favourite looks of the night. Finished with an OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra watch and Anita Ko jewels, Cristin is very much in her red carpet groove.
