Laura Dern Arrives at Venice Film Festival in Emilia Wickstead
Laura Dern made a breezy entrance at the Hotel Excelsior via water taxi for the Venice International Film Festival today, gearing up to promote her new film Jay Kelly alongside George (and Amal) Clooney.

The actress is clearly in a summer mood, stepping out in an Emilia Wickstead Hallie skirt from the Pre-Fall 2025 collection. The skirt’s classic A-line silhouette is effortlessly flattering, and the blue damask print was oozing charm. Paired with the shirt, it’s a fresh, modern take on daytime elegance — perfectly suited to the Venetian setting.
That said, the styling isn’t entirely seamless. The black Roger Vivier leather belt with daisy appliqués feels a little out of sync with the soft sophistication of the rest of the outfit. A simpler belt or even no belt at all might have let the skirt’s pattern do all the talking.
The styling choice does not dampen my excitement to see what Laura brings to tomorrow’s premiere.
Martha Calvo jewels completed her look.
