Front Row at Chanel Fall 2025 Haute Couture
The house of Chanel unveiled their Fall 2025 Haute Couture collection on Tuesday to a packed front row of ambassadors and friends, marking the last show before Matthieu Blazy steps in with his much-anticipated debut. And if the runway was a farewell to the current era, the front row felt like a celebration of the house’s loyal muses, with plenty of sparkle, and tweed.

Let the tweed do the talking
Marion Cotillard, who skipped the Bal d’Été over the weekend, made a stylish comeback for the show in a Chanel Spring 2025 Haute Couture look. The cropped blue tweed top and matching high-waisted skirt—embellished with blue and silver sequins and trimmed with braids—was one of her more refined choices. Marion can be a bit of a wildcard, but she let this look speak for itself. Chanel Fine Jewelry and the Première Galon watch completed her look.

Rich auntie vibes activated
Penelope Cruz opted for a Chanel Resort 2026 fantasy tweed in black, red, orange and silver. Some might find this a little mature, but I’m firmly on team Penelope for this one. The glam aunt energy worked perfectly in this couture setting, and it’s one of her most convincing Chanel moments in a while.

Classic with a capital C
Keira Knightley wore a black and white printed charmeuse dress from Chanel’s Fall 2025 collection with Chanel Fine Jewelry. There’s really not much else to say—she is the ultimate Chanel ambassador. The consistency, the poise, the loyalty. Gold standard.

A missed ambassadorship?
Kirsten Dunst may not be officially on Chanel’s books, but she fits the brief perfectly. Skipping the heavy tweeds, she went for a bodysuit and seersucker trousers from the Resort 2026 collection, paired with Chanel Fine Jewelry and a classic quilted bag. Easy, breezy, and very her.

Textured romance with a twist
Laufey, who loves a ruffle, wore a Chanel Spring 2025 Haute Couture collarette dress. While the ruffled neckline played to her usual romantic aesthetic, the tweed body added a little edge—and maybe a little more autumn than summer. Chanel Fine Jewelry, shoes, and bag completed her look.

Relaxed & refined
Sofia Coppola returned to her usual uniform of understated cool in a Chanel Resort 2026 laminated denim jacket, worn over a grey tee and white jeans. It might not have the drama of her Bal d’Été gown, but it’s peak Sofia-in-Chanel: laidback, elegant, and effortlessly cool.

White dress, fresh perspective
I tend to associate Gracie Abrams’ Chanel era with darker, moodier palettes, but this white Resort 2026 dress with its flirty tiered skirt felt like a welcome switch-up. Light, youthful, and playful. Chanel Fine Jewelry gave the finishing touch.

Classic silhouette, questionable pairing
Charlotte Casiraghi wore a Chanel Fall 2025 sky-blue skirt suit with a white knit top. A refined, timeless silhouette—but the black accessories didn’t quite harmonise with the rest of the look.

Summer lace dream team
Japanese actress Sakura Ando and Taiwanese singer 9M88 were perfectly in sync in white lace Chanel Resort 2026 looks. This is exactly the kind of light, breezy energy I want to see at the Grand Palais on a hot July day.

Wrong season, wrong mood
Havana Rose Liu opted for a black velvet mini Chanel dress from the Fall 2025 collection. It might have been better suited for a winter soirée.

Cool, calm and couture
Wang Yibo stood out in the best way wearing a black and white sequined tweed jacket from Chanel’s Fall 2025 collection, styled with a white lace shirt and black trousers. The look was elegant yet fresh.
