Vanessa Kirby attended The Fantastic Four: First Steps Paris special event today at Espace Niemeyer, and in a rare fashion twist, she gave us something completely unexpected.

We’ve known Vanessa as a staunch loyalist to one particular silhouette—clean lines, and elongated bodices—and we have never complained, because it works. Her signature look is one of those rare fashion constants you can always count on to deliver elegance without fuss. That said, watching her take a new direction is as refreshing as a sorbet on a warm Parisian afternoon.

Her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, is no stranger to crafting a maternity red carpet narrative—he guided Margot Robbie’s style during her pregnancy. But that wasn’t during a major press tour. With Vanessa’s silhouette set to evolve throughout this one, the challenge is greater—and based on this outing, it’s one he’s clearly ready for.

Wearing an asymmetric halter dress from Givenchy’s Fall 2025 collection, Vanessa stepped into a softer space—quite literally. The high neckline echoed a similar look recently worn by Charlize Theron from the same collection, but the key difference was the hue: a delicate lilac, a shade we rarely see on Vanessa. Known for gravitating toward darker, moodier tones, this pastel moment was a refreshing and uplifting surprise.

Gold strappy sandals finished things off (I’m glad she didn’t wear the runway boots). Altogether, it was modern, seasonal, and subtly powerful. There’s an ease to this that speaks to her confidence—no gimmicks, just evolution.
