Celebrities at the ‘Drop’ LA Premiere

The TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood lit up for the premiere of Universal Pictures’ Drop, and the red carpet came with its own plot twists—glamour where you expected it, curveballs where you didn’t, and a couple of shoe debates we need to unpack.

Meghann Fahy Ludovic de Saint Sernin nude sequin dress Spring 2025 Drop LA Premiere

Sequinned & Slinky

Ludovic de Saint Sernin presented three versions of this slinky Spring 2025 dress—black, white, and nude—but Meghann Fahy clearly had the best instincts. The nude-hued version she chose was radiant—glowing in that effortless, lit-from-within kind of way. The Manolo Blahnik Chaos silver sandals were a sleek finish, letting the dress do all the dazzling. Perfect balance. No notes.

Joey King Old Navy black mini dress Drop LA Premiere

Old Navy the most unexpected red carpet flex of the year

Joey King wore a black Old Navy mini dress to a major Hollywood premiere. With Calzedonia tights and Naked Wolfe pumps, the whole ensemble felt charmingly offbeat. We’re used to seeing her experiment with emerging labels and runway looks, so this move was oddly refreshing. The girl said, “Let me be recession-core chic,” and honestly, it worked and felt refreshing after her Miu Miu moments.

Gabrielle Ryan red sequin Gaurav Gupta Couture dress Drop LA Premiere

When glamour swirls into the room

Gabrielle Ryan delivered a serious fashion moment in Gaurav Gupta Couture. The corset gown featured the label’s signature swirl detail, but in the most subtle way we’ve seen yet—like couture whispering rather than shouting. It was the major high glamour moment on this red carpet when others were going for restraint. She looked like a sculptural goddess from a marble statue come to life.

Phoebe Dynevor cream Louis Vuitton dress Drop LA Premiere with fiance Cameron Fuller

Supportive fiancée, understated elegance

Phoebe Dynevor attended in support of her fiancé Cameron Fuller, the film’s producer, and rightly let others have their moment. Her cream draped Louis Vuitton dress was unfussy and graceful, styled with black Jimmy Choo Minny sandals and Tiffany & Co. jewellery. Personally, I would’ve loved to see her in gold sandals. But I know some of you are too busy side-eyeing the leather LV plaque on the sleeve.
