Alana, Este and Danielle Haim Wore Louis Vuitton To ‘The Mastermind’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

The Haim sisters always know how to show up in sync, but for Friday night’s Cannes Film Festival premiere of The Mastermind, Alana, Este and Danielle Haim decided to flip the script. While all three wore Louis Vuitton—no shock there—the coordination ended with the label tag. There was no colour theme, no matching silhouettes, no clear collection in common. It was a free-for-all—and not entirely in a bad way.

Alana Haim’s Louis Vuitton look was probably my least favourite of the three. The main culprit was the bubble skirt from the Resort 2025 collection, a silhouette that, for me, has run its course. But my biggest issue is that overall it felt oddly dated—especially for someone who usually leans into sleek, modern, almost futuristic fashion. This, by contrast, read very ’80s. Her look was finished with pieces from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds collection, which added some refinement but couldn’t quite modernize the ensemble.

Este Haim, on the other hand, nailed it. Her deep burgundy Louis Vuitton gown with asymmetric draping was dramatic in all the right ways—sharp, structured, while being elegant at the same time. Definitely the standout sister for me.

Danielle Haim took an unexpected turn in a romantic, silver floral-embroidered Louis Vuitton gown with open sleeve detailing and a soft train. It was ethereal, almost dreamy—quite the switch-up from her usual edgier aesthetic. A welcome surprise.

It’s always fun to see siblings play with fashion individuality, but did you miss the cohesion they usually bring?
