Aishwarya Rai Wore Gaurav Gupta To The ‘Colours Of Time’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere
After returning to her roots at last night’s premiere, Aishwarya Rai continued her upward style trajectory this evening at the La Venue De L’avenir (Colours Of Time) Cannes Film Festival premiere, reminding us all why we once crowned her “Queen of Cannes.”

Wearing a custom Gaurav Gupta black velvet corset column gown, Aishwarya brought the kind of glamour that had been sorely missed while she was tangled in tinsel last year. But this? This is redemption. This is power. This is how you dress a global icon.
With the abstract celestial dream, rendered in bursts of silver, gold, charcoal, and black — the gown shimmered with dimension, capturing the light like constellations in motion. But it was the sweeping Banarasi brocade cape that truly stole the show, adding drama and grandeur with every step, without ever overwhelming the silhouette. Gaurav Gupta truly understood the assignment, delivering elegance without excess.
Glossy waves and a bold red lip gave it that classic Aishwarya finish—timeless, and striking. A major Cannes comeback moment. Thank you, Mr Gupta.
Stylist: Allia Al Rufai.
