Cartier held an intimate gala at the iconic National Gallery Singapore to celebrate the Maison’s latest High Jewelry creations: Cartier Nature Sauvage, with British actress Gemma Chan gracing the occasion in spectacular fashion.
What I missed most during Gemma’s Louis Vuitton era was her support of Asian designers, so it absolutely warmed my fashion-loving heart to see her back in Miss Sohee. She chose a breathtaking red silk duchess gown, complete with scallop bustling and a cinched corseted bodice that was the main attraction of the night … after the jewelry showcase, of course.
The colour red, of course, holds deep cultural significance, while the intricate Lotus Seeds and butterflies gold work, Swarovski crystals, and jade stone embellishments made this a look that was not only stunning but rich with meaning.
The gown was grand — the kind that commands every inch of the room and makes you feel like the moment was made just for you. It was just as mesmerising from the back as it was from the front, leaving no angle neglected.
