Kylie Jenner Brings The Heat To A Coachella Pool Party

Coachella may be known for its boho babes and crochet everything, but Kylie Jenner clearly had other plans for the desert. Hosting an exclusive pool party with Sprinter Vodka Soda at The Parker Hotel in Palm Springs on Friday, she swapped out floaty festival wear for a full-throttle, body-hugging, sunshine-yellow latex dress. Yes, you read that right. Latex. In Palm Springs. In April.

She was there to promote Sprinter’s new Palm Springs-themed flavours – Pink Lemonade, Mango, Strawberry, and Pineapple – and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the latex dress was inspired by the cans. It was giving mango popsicle in the best and sweatiest possible way.

Here’s the thing: latex is a commitment. It requires talcum powder, silicone serum, and nerves of steel. It clings, it squeaks, and it does not breathe. Which is why I’m still processing how one chooses latex in the desert heat for a pool party of all things. But if anyone’s going to take the “suffer for fashion” mantra to heart, it’s Kylie.

She completed the look with Manolo Blahnik’s black leather Paterno sandals – the only part of her outfit that looked remotely breezy. I’ll give her credit: it’s on brand, it’s bold, and it’s very Kylie. But while the Sprinter drinks were probably chilled, her outfit definitely wasn’t.
