Beyonce Knowles Wore Five More Custom Balmain Looks During Her Second Coachella Performance

If you thought Beyonce Knowles had outdone herself during her first Coachella performance, she had more where that came from—introducing five more custom Balmain looks during her second performance on Saturday (April 21) in Indio, California.

You might notice some parallel similarities between her first set of five looks and these, as they each riffed on common themes.

The ‘BK’ initials hoodie returned—except this time it was rendered in hot pink to go with those denim hot pants and custom Christian Louboutin white patent leather boots with unicorn skin. Girly, glam, and 100-percent Beyonce.

Rihanna In Gucci – Coachella 2018

As I was saying yesterday, Rihanna can sell anything other than sheepskin over-the-knee slouchy Ugg boots and couple of tent-like Cannes gowns, but this Gucci Fall 2018 look has me shook.

Last year at Coachella the Bajan beauty rocked a bedazzled Gucci bodysuit with a matching mask, and this year’s look seemed to steer down the same path.

Most would’ve taken a few pieces from this look like the white sweater or the blue and white striped shirt, but Ri Ri adds some sass with the Elisabeth Weinstock snakeskin trousers and matching boots, with, the pièce de résistance: a black and white balaclava with opulent chandelier earrings.

Leave it to Rihanna wear a balaclava in the middle of the desert, but at least she doing something a little more original than expected denim shorts, body chains, crop top and flower crowns.

Le Vian diamond ring and Neil Lane retro gold bracelet and diamond and platinum link bracelet completed her look.

This is the step-outside-da-box Rihanna I love.

#REVOLVEfestival @ Coachella

Festival beauties were out in force at the #REVOLVEfestival held during Coachella on Sunday (April 15) in the California desert.

Nicole Scherzinger: She had all the festival fashion trends going on, what with the oversized denim, the cutoff shorts, the body chain, the braids, and the boots. But, both the bright bra and the Brian Atwood thigh-high peacock-print boots competed for attention in this throwback look.

Alessandra Ambrosio: We may always anticipate the supermodel to opt for ultra-sexy looks, but I loved seeing her channel her sweeter side in this polka-dot mini dress styled with a Coachella-worthy oversized, distressed denim jacket. The accessories, though, are what really made the ensemble a flirty-fun endeavor with her girl-next-door sneakers, geometric Garrett Leight ‘Jacqueline Sun’ shades along with The Kooples ‘Emily’ belt bag—clearly, the cool-girl way to wear a fanny pack.

Olivia Culpo: Also rocking a denim jacket, Olivia channeled a western-chic allure in this white lace Ermanno Scervino frock styled with a Louis Vuitton mini-backpack bag and a cowgirl hat. Every element made perfect sense for Coachella—except for the suede boots. It is the desert, after all.

Rihanna In Y/Project – 2018 Coachella Music Festival

I’m all for Rihanna expressing herself with avant garde runway looks, as she has an uncanny knack of making me fall in love with the most obscure outfits, but on this occasion I will have to give this Y/Project Fall 2018 look a hard pass.

I don’t question that the give the brown draped organza bow dress life, but it was the matching Y/Project x UGG suede thigh high boots that killed the look for me.

They have to be the most unflattering piece of footwear I have ever seen. And I’m truly baffled she wore them to Coachella, in the desert.

Moschino [TV] H&M Desert Coachella Party

Coachella is never short of fashion inspiration with Beyonce Knowles wearing five custom Balmain looks alone for her performance. On Sunday (April 15), the Moschino [TV] H&M Desert Coachella party revealed H&M’s next designer collaboration with Moschino. The big announcement was made with an Instagram live call from Gigi Hadid to Creative Director Jeremy Scott. The collection, Moschino [tv] H&M, will be available online and in select H&M stores worldwide from November 8. Many feted the announcement with joyful, colorful ensembles.

Gigi Hadid: The model was decked out in full Moschino [tv] H&M collection. She showed off her lengthy pins in heavily embellished over-the-knee boots and a CD print topper which hung off one shoulder to reveal a blue crop top. Embracing the maximalist aesthetic, she finished the look with a gold necklace and belt.

Emily Ratajkowski: The ‘I Feel Pretty’ actress opted for ravishing simplicity in an Altuzarra Lyrebird dress from Fall 2018. The clinging fit and cut-outs showed off her shape. Even with the ivory boots, the outfit was a change of pace from the typical bohemian festival ensembles thanks to its simplicity and longer length.

Beyonce Knowles Wore Five Custom Balmain Looks During Her Coachella Performance

You could easily say that Beyonce—and Balmain—shut down Coachella on Saturday night (April 15) during her 26-song set that included a Destiny’s Child reunion. She donned five different looks from designer Olivier Rousteing—all custom—and it’s safe to say that her affinity for bodysuits lives on in this unprecedented moment for the California desert.

Leave it to Queen Bey to make a yellow ‘BK’ initials hoodie and denim micro-shorts a lesson in glam standards with her crimped locks and custom Christian Louboutin white patent leather boots with holographic fringe. In case you were wondering, yes, that’s a marching band behind her to go with the throwback, collegiate theme.
