It’s been far too long since we’ve had a Caitriona Balfe press tour, so you can imagine my delight when the Irish actress graced the red carpet at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square for the The Amateur London premiere last night—also marking the first premiere since British Summer Time officially began. And what better way to celebrate the arrival of longer, sunnier days than in a custom Louis Vuitton ensemble as radiant as the season itself?

Taking inspiration from Look 53 of the Resort 2025 collection, Caitriona’s lemon-yellow outfit was a masterclass in modern elegance. The silk éclair draped top, with its sculptural folds, was beautifully paired with a sleek column skirt—an upgrade from the bubble hems and voluminous skirts we saw dominating last year. While she’s certainly no stranger to a risk-taking fashion moment, this refined interpretation suited her style perfectly, striking a balance between sophistication and contemporary cool.

It’s sleek, it’s effortless, and it still maintains an edge without being overly dramatic. That’s the sweet spot for Caitriona—fashion-forward, yet never forced.

Now, the black satin Louis Vuitton pumps? Would they have been my first choice? Probably not, especially against such a striking shade of yellow. But with her jet-black hair and deep cherry lip, they’re at least somewhat integrated into the overall look.

Honestly, I’m so enamoured by this vibrant outfit—the colour, the structure, the way it just works on her—that I’m willing to overlook the shoes entirely. Consider this a triumphant return to the red carpet for Caitriona Balfe.
