Tracee Ellis Ross Wore Bottega Veneta To Harlem’s Fashion Row Fashion Show & Style Awards
Tracee Ellis Ross has always been a fashion risk-taker, and her appearance at the 17th Annual Harlem’s Fashion Row Fashion Show & Style Awards in New York City on Tuesday was a testament to that fearless approach.
Clad in a Bottega Veneta leather coat from the Fall 2024 collection, Tracee turned heads—as she always does.
Now, I know some of you might be scratching your heads, wondering why anyone would choose to wear a heavy leather coat with a scarf-like, wraparound neckline in the middle of summer. The juxtaposition of a wintery piece in the heat of New York’s summer may seem perplexing, but this is exactly why I’m always here for Tracee’s out-of-the-box fashion moments. She’s never one to conform to the expected, and that’s what makes her style so captivating.
Earlier this year, Tracee took a quieter, more understated approach to her fashion choices. While I eventually warmed up to her more subdued looks, seeing her back in full force—unpredictable and non-conforming to seasonal norms—feels like a breath of fresh air. This is the Tracee Ellis Ross that I know and love: bold, daring, and unapologetically herself.
What’s more, she didn’t just stop at the coat. Tracee styled the look with gold Bottega Veneta’s Rocket mules, adding a sleek, modern edge to the ensemble. And then there’s that hot-pink lip—a striking choice that makes me wonder if we’re about to see a resurgence of the red-and-pink colour combo trending once again.
While I could pull off Tracee’s looks when it comes to fashion, I admire her ability to keep things interesting.
