Amazon Hosts Tastemaker Event for ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’
This past Saturday, the Pendry West Hollywood was abuzz with excitement as Amazon hosted an exclusive tastemaker event for their series ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith,’ where the evening saw an array of celebrities in attendance, including Sarah Paulson, Kasmere Trice, and Janelle James, each bringing their unique flair to the red carpet.
Sarah Paulson: A Study in Relaxed Elegance
Sarah Paulson stood out in her ensemble from AMI’s Spring 2025 collection. While some may have wished she kept the runway styling, complete with the trench coat, Sarah’s choice to forgo it was a smart move. The coat was unnecessary to convey the relaxed cool vibe of her look. However, I am questioning her choice of accessories. The winter brown bag and autumn brown shoes seemed mismatched. I feel that the darker hue for both would have provided a more cohesive appearance. Do you agree?

Kasmere Trice: A Missed Opportunity
Kasmere Trice stepped out in a Saint Laurent Spring 2023 dress in shades of brown. The dress, sheer and intended to be daring, unfortunately did not translate well off the runway. On the red carpet, the fabric appeared flimsy and did not flatter Kasmere’s beautiful figure. Perhaps incorporating the runway’s trench coat could have elevated the look, providing structure and sophistication that was otherwise lacking.
Janelle James: Bold and Sensual
Janelle James commanded attention in a striking Max Mara leopard print silk Etna shirt and Ghinea wide leg trousers. Adding her own twist, she tied the shirt into a crop top, amplifying the ensemble’s sex appeal. Max Mara, known for its subtle elegance rather than large logos, allowed the dynamic print to take center stage on this occasion. Janelle’s confident styling and bold choice paid off.
