Emily Blunt Wore Schiaparelli Haute Couture To The 2024 Oscars

When Emily Blunt stepped onto the red carpet, my immediate feeling was that this is going to be the marmite look of Oscar night.

If you’ve seen Emily in enough interviews, you will know that her sense of humour is unmatched, and she doesn’t take herself too seriously.

Which is why I can just picture her laughing her ass off when her stylist Jessica Paster presented this nude sequin Schiaparelli Spring 2024 Haute Couture gown featuring a trompe l’œil men’s boxer short (or Y-Fronts as we call them in the UK) motif in contrasting silver sequins, and screaming, “YES, I have to wear that.”

You have to have a sense of humour to wear this, and know that the internet will do its thing, while also having enough confidence to carry the look, which Emily has in spades, much like Aubrey Plaza in her Loewe gown which became the ‘Post-It Note’ dress.

Funnily enough, they share the same stylist.
