Frankie Bridge Wore Marques’Almeida To The ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’ Gala Night
Frankie Bridge attended the after-party following her debut performance at The Apollo Theatre for ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’ on Wednesday (August 9),
The actress-singer is replacing Sophia Bush, who had to drop out of the show due to illness.
Frankie’s Marques’Almeida midi dress reminded me of the Ashi Studio Haute Couture dress which Hayley Atwell wore to the ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ London premiere back in June, which now feels like a lifetime ago.
Both dresses are offset by a voluminous taffeta skirt, but I love how Frankie’s dress has a more day to night feel, while proving that Marques’Almeida makes pieces for those who love unique staples.
On the Spring 2023 runway, the styling took on more of an ‘80s vibe with the grungy boots and black lipstick, however, with Frankie’s contrasting pumps and red lip the mood was completely different.
Usually this is the part where I say that I prefer the red runway colour, but the black feels better suited to Frankie’s laidback style, and for the event, plus the red taffeta is giving me flashbacks of Ariana DeBose’s awards season run.
