Bad Bunny Graces The Cover of TIME Wearing Willy Chavarria

Bad Bunny Graces The Cover of TIME Wearing Willy Chavarria

Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican singer and rapper, first rose to fame as a Soundcloud artist before featuring on two hit songs, ‘I Like It’ with Cardi B and ‘Mia’ with Drake, in 2018.

Since then, he’s released four critically acclaimed albums, with two debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

He also has three Grammy Awards, nine Latin Grammy Awards, eight Billboard Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, two American Music Awards, thirteen Premios Lo Nuestro, among other accolades.

The singer has also been named one of Forbes 100 Most Influential People In the World and has been named Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the year in 2020 and 2021.

I say all that to say that the Bad Bunny has more than earned his TIME feature and cover.

I was delighted to see that Bad Bunny wore a look from Willy Chavarria’s Fall 2023 collection.

I love the synergy between the rapper being the biggest Latin artist in the world with a Latin designer whose elevated streetwear-inspired pieces showcase his love for ’90s with hyper-voluminous, swaths of fabric and boxy shapes.

Another Willy Chavarria trait is a love of using oversized flower corsages, which in this instant keeps the menswear brooch firmly on-trend.

A selection of Veneda Carter Jewelry including a Jesus ring, completed his look.
