2022 CFDA Awards

Here is a roundup from the 2022 CFDA Awards which were held at the Casa Cipriani on Monday (November 7) in New York City.

Call me a fangirl (which I basically am), but I love Vanessa Hudgens’ Vera Wang look.

Yes, it has a hint of Kim Kardashian about it, but I love the sensuality of it all.

Christina Ricci certainly had the most decorative look of the night wearing a Rodarte Spring 2023 handpainted, lace accented dress with floral appliqués on the shoulders.

While the hair really needed to be completely pulled back, this was still one of my favourites from this event.

Fresh from her BDOTW win, Amber Valletta looked beautiful once again wearing a red embellished Conner Ives dress.

It really is the season to be wearing chocolate brown.

Ashley Graham looked elegant in her off-the-shoulder Peter Do shirt dress which she styled with gold Giuseppe Zanotti Lilii Borea mules which complemented her Bottega Veneta horseshoe belt.

Ayo Edebiri has become our new quirky girl.

Her last red carpet appearance saw her wearing a balloon accented Loewe dress, this time she serves up a colour-block suit from the Thom Browne Spring 2023 collection.

I like how this is playful, without feeling juvenile.

When it comes to Cassie’s Annakiki look, it’s all about the volume. Sadly, there was too much when it came to her flared trousers.

If there was one trend I would stop, it would be ridiculously long trousers, over opera gloves.

Mara Paris earrings completed her look.

Cher, the new face of Balmain, wore a Chrome Hearts moto inspired look, which is giving me Moschino vibes.

I thought Gigi Hadid was trying to make Tommy Hilfiger look edgy, but she’s actually wearing Thom Browne Spring 2023 menswear look.

Grace van Patten was clearly inspired by the new hooded trend when she selected this Tom Ford look.

I’m usually a big fan of Irina Shayk’s style, but this Partow look was a little uninspiring for me at this event.

Katie Holmes was channeling a 1920s flapper style look in Jonathan Simkhai’s Spring 2023 crystal fringe dress.

Jimmy Choo Minny sandal and their Cloud clutch completed her look.

Marisa Tomei would have been one of my favourites in this Gabriela Hearst yellow suit had she styled it better.

The bra and black pumps are very uninspiring here.

You may remember that Kate Hudson wore the green version of this suit in Madrid.

Mariska Hargitay brought the gala drama in Christian Siriano.

When it comes to Natasha Lyonne in this Proenza Schouler Spring 2023 look, there is just too much going on to focus on one thing.
