Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Wore Gaurav Gupta Couture To The ‘Armageddon Time’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Following her disappointing look on the red carpet for the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ premiere, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her second red carpet appearance during the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 19) in France.

The Cannes veteran glided down the red carpet wearing a Gaurav Gupta Couture ‘The Venus Sculpture’ gown which was a custom creation.

I like the architectural nature of the gown, the pretty pink colour which she amplified with her pink lip colour and rose-pink eye makeup.

The Indian designer said he was inspired by the birth of Venus, the goddess of beauty and love, rising from the scalloped shell; she transitions from the infinite, pure as a pearl, which puts the sculptural details into context.

Overall, this is a vast improvement from yesterday. Aishwarya needed this.
