Front Row @ Louis Vuitton Resort 2023
Today (May 13), Nicolas GhesquiĂšre presented the Louis Vuitton Resort 2023 collection at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in in San Diego in front of ambassadors and friends of the house which included LĂ©a Seydoux, Ana De Armas, Phoebe Dynevor, Miranda Kerr, Chloe Grace Moretz, Samara Weaving, Ava DuVernay, Deepika Padukone, Stacy Martin, Gemma Chan, Renate Reinsve, Emma Roberts, Maude Apatow, Billie Lourd, and Agathe Rousselle.
Iâm sure weâll see LĂ©a Seydoux during Cannes Film Festival at some point over the next two weeks in some stunning Louis Vuitton custom gowns, but for today she was a lady in red wearing a Louis Vuitton Fall 2022 suit which Emma Stone recently wore in sky blue.
As we know LĂ©a rarely gives us colour anymore (you’ll have to go back to 2015 for the last time she wore red) so Iâm all for this suit, but not the accessories.
Louis Vuitton’s footwear doesnât always capture my attention in a positive way (Iâm still reeling from the Resort 2022 boots), but Ana De Armas rocked these boots with her wintery Louis Vuitton Fall 2022 offering.
I couldnât imagine wearing a knit turtleneck, a velvet skirt and knee-high boots when it is nearly 80° outside, but sheâs making it look easy.
And weâre back with the funky footwear.  I like the tan colour, but not the white base of Phoebe Dynevorâs LV boots.
This striped Louis Vuitton Fall 2022 dress isnât really working for her either, but I’m thankful she didn’t look to the runway for styling tips.  I hope she finds her groove soon.
And this is why I love Miranda Kerr. The model found the most Miranda Kerr look she could from Louis Vuitton Spring 2022 collection, and styled it in her own way.
Love or loathe this flower trip from Chloe Grace Moretz, I must admit that the only thing I donât like about this is the grey tie, as it is so random.
This feels very on brand for her.
Samara Weaving sold the oversized Louis Vuitton Fall 2022 sweater dress to me (I can picture myself wearing this), but the boots are still kind of a hard sell.
Usually Iâm a huge fan of Ava DuVernayâs style, but the only thing I would save from this Louis Vuitton look is the yellow sweater.
The jacket is overwhelming, the skirt feels a little too frumpy for her and I have no words for this footwear selection with this look.
Did it snow overnight in San Diego?Â
I canât think of any other reason for these celebrities to be wearing such heavy pieces on this red carpet (other than promoting the Fall 2022 collection of course).
Deepika Padukone, Louis Vuitton’s latest ambassador, was front row before she starts jury duty at Cannes Film Festival next week.
While we await her opening ceremony â most likely Louis Vuitton custom creation â we will just look at this and pray for the best.
Now this is much better.  Stacy Martin’s layered Louis Vuitton Fall 2022 look might just be my favourite so far, even with those white trimmed boots.
I think the tapestry on the dress and the rich shade of burgundy and merlot sells this look to me.
Representing the UK, we have Gemma Chan whoâs used to layering up in cozy knits, even at this time of the year.
The only thing not working for me here is the red and black clutch.
More delicate footwear, and Renate Reinsve wouldâve sold this Louis Vuitton Fall 2022 drop arm dress, tie and shirt combo to me.
And here we have Emma Roberts absolutely nailing this Louis Vuitton look.
We know the actress for her more delicate, cottage-core-inspired style, so I wouldnât have been able to pick a single thing for her from this collection. So I’m super impressed that she did.
Maude Apatow continues to be my calendar year girl crush.
And hereâs why. She took this heavy look, and pulled it off with ease. I kinda wish Deepika got this.
Billie Lourd was speaking my love language wearing a sequin mini Louis Vuitton dress with puffy sleeves.
Almost didnât recognise Agathe Rousselle with this new hairstyle which is less punk inspired than Iâm used to.
The French actress is one the LV ladies who never gets it wrong, and judging by the theme of this event, that trend continues.Â
