Louis Vuitton @ The 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton dressed six female celebrities for the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held in California on Sunday (March 27).

‘Belfast’ star Caitriona Balfe didn’t set our worlds on fire with her Louis Vuitton white dress for the main event, but she managed to redeem herself with this Louis Vuitton black embellished down with leather accents.

I can feel many of you already rolling your eyes at the fact that this is yet another sheer dress, but this was easily her best look of the night.

You take wins where you get them.

When it comes to Emilia Jones, I’m going to ask again “what gives with this hairstyle?”

It was wrong for the main event, and just as bad at this event.

Her custom Louis Vuitton dress, gilded in gold and silver, and featuring dramatic falling sleeves deserved better than a gym bun.

Emilia has been on a roll this entire awards season, but Sunday was not her, or her hair stylists, night.

Cynthia Erivo was two for two in Louis Vuitton on Oscar night. 

While the mood was subdued for the main event, she amped up the drama wearing a custom Louis Vuitton bodysuit and embroidered skirt accented with exaggerated hips.

The only problem with a look like this is that you need to keep your hands on your waist the entire time otherwise the mystic and the allure is gone, which is why you don’t see one picture of the actress with her hands out of that position.

If you find a picture of her without her hands on her hips, please send it to me, as I’m intrigued.

I seemed to be the only one who really liked Renate Reinsve’s Louis Vuitton look for the main event.  So, I had hoped to be blown away by her Vanity Fair look.

Sadly, I’m struggling to get on board with this custom Louis Vuitton cape gown.

The gown itself is beautiful. I’m in awe of the embellishments, but she looks a little bit washed out here to me.

Maybe under the natural daylight of the main event, this would’ve fared better.

Alana Haim wore a custom Louis Vuitton dress which the brand has said is mint green, but it looks silver to me. Again, this could be the result of poor lighting.

The dress perfectly fits Alana no-fuss style as an actress, especially since she’s been working exclusively with Louis Vuitton.

With a second child on the way, British actress Sophie Turner – a long-time friend of the fashion house – wore a bright red custom high-neck Louis Vuitton gown which served to accentuate her growing baby bump.

As Sophie has been out of the spotlight for some time, I’m not sure what came first, the crimson hair, or the bold red hue of the dress.

She styled her look with Louis Vuitton High Jewellery.
