After her flame-red nail display at the 2022 SAG Awards, Cynthia Erivo opted to stripe things back – way back – for the 2022 Oscars on Sunday (March 27).

We are used to a lot more drama from the British actress-singer, but sharp tailoring was the focus for her Louis Vuitton custom look on this occasion.

Clearly inspired by classic formalwear thanks to its tuxedo-style lapels, and longline silhouette; the exposed zipper ensures the jacket firmly adheres to contemporary codes.

I’m enjoying this chic, yet muted moment from Cynthia.

She went hard, and has given us so much over the last two years, so it was nice to see her take the path less travelled.
